This Wheels on Fire

Finished the Levon Helm book today. Really sad to read what he wrote about the demise of one of the best bands ever, The Band. I think it got published in '93 so it was a few years before Rick Danko passed away. The last few pages kind of leave you with the feeling of hope, like the band will live forever and I truly feel like they will. That music is timeless and I'm stoked to have been introduced to them at such a perfect time in my life. I wonder what ole Dave is up to in Montreal. If you haven't read it I highly recommend it.

Toronto

Nick, Meg and I went to Toronto to go see Jordo n Carley this past weekend. It had been about six months since I'd seen Jord. Weird cause we saw each other every day for seven years. While we were there we went to Lees Palace to see the Nightmarchers who were amazing but I chose not to bring my camera cause I was over-hammered. Here are a couple shots from before we left Sears' new place.

Fucking Christ! I don't remember much from the bar last night.......probably the shots with Tim, Doug n Tom that did it... (actually just Doug Tim n I.....Tom couldn't handle the Tequila and had to do Jager.) I ended up taking off kinda randomly, felt bad about it in the morning but it was Shanes birthday and I had to get to Winks n have a drink with my little bro. Going through some tough shit at the moment and ya need your blood to be there for ya in times like these.
Anyone wanna go to the knights game next friday? I had a great time, fun team to watch n the scalpers were selling tix for 8 bucks!!! good cheap fun.

I was watching Californication tonite, like every sunday, and the song at the end of the episode was amazing! So I checked it out and it's this band called Alberta Cross, the tunes called Low Man. fucking amazing!
